FMCB & Stakeholder Engagement Liaison

<p style="margin: 0.0in;">This role will be responsible for supporting the General Manager’s Office, senior MBTA and MassDOT officials, as well as members of the Fiscal and Management Control Board (FMCB) in helping to develop policy, perform analysis, and oversee the creation of briefings and presentations. The role will work closely with senior transportation officials and subject matter experts to help draft and develop policy positions. This position will work with the Deputy Chief of Staff on the operations, planning and logistics of all FMCB meetings, and will keep all internal and external stakeholders informed of any changes and developments on a timely manner. The role will support the policy formulation process by helping to perform analysis on internal and external data sources. Moreover, the role will oversee the creation of presentations from internal staff in creating presentations for meetings with internal and external stakeholders. This role will need to build and maintain strong relationships with across the MBTA, MassDOT, FMCB, advocate groups, and other key external stakeholders, and work on special projects as assigned.</p><ul><li>Assisting senior MBTA and MassDOT officials in developing briefing materials for meetings with the FMCB and stakeholder groups<li> Handle sensitive information in a strictly confidential manner<li>Act as a first point of contact for strategic and external communications related to the FMCB; oversee FMCB membership services.  <li>Overseeing the development of briefing materials across the MBTA organization including both corporate and operating officials<li>Work with the Deputy Chief of Staff on the operations, planning, and logistics of FMCB meetings<li>Collaborate with internal staff in the development of reports, charts and presentations<li>Coordinates multiple projects and reporting out to internal and external stakeholders as needed<li>Serve as a project manager and assist in cross functional projects and policy development as needed<li>Monitors assigned government decision making bodies, such as the FTA, and reports as appropriate<li>Serves as communications liaison between the MBTA, MassDOT and the FMCB<li>Coordinating the development of briefing materials across the MBTA organization including both corporate and operating officials<li>Help track FMCB Director's requests for information and coordinate staff response<li>Work with Communications Team to keep them updated and informed in order to enable quicker, more responsive communications with stakeholders and press<li> Coordinate relationships with external groups, advocates <li>Work on all special projects and related duties as assigned such as Safety Report, Supplier Diversity Working Group, etc <li>Other duties as assigned by supervisor</ul><ul style="list-style-type: disc;"><li><span style="color: black;">Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in executive and stakeholder communications and coordination. </span><li><span style="color: black;">Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution in Communications, Public Policy, English, History, Politics, Marketing or in a relevant field</span><li><span style="color: black;">Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally across all levels within an organization </span><li><span style="color: black;">Successful experience coordinating, developing, and delivering presentations to senior level executives</span><li><span style="color: black;">Demonstrated successful experience developing presentations, speeches, and talking points for executives</span><li><span style="color: black;">Proven ability to enhance organizational capabilities, always searching for opportunities for continuous improvement and add value</span><li><span style="color: black;">Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.</span><li><span style="color: black;">Proven ability to oversee multiple assignments and projects, prioritize workload, and coordinate with direct and indirect reports of the MBTA’s General Manager to meet deadlines</span><li><span style="color: black;">Strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite</span><li><span style="color: black;">Possess high level of professionalism and executive presence </span><li><span style="color: black;">Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters</span><li><span style="color: black;">Proven ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively</span><li><span style="color: black;">Demonstrated ability to work in an evolving and dynamic environment</span><li><span style="color: black;">Detail-oriented, energetic, motivated, and action-oriented</span><li>The ability to work any and all shifts and/or locations as assigned or directed.<li>The ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce.<li>Adhere to rules, regulations, collective bargaining agreements (if applicable) and policies of the MBTA including the EEO, anti-discrimination, anti-harassment, and anti-retaliation policies.<li><span style="color: black;">Ability to pass a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check, background screening, and the MBTA’s medical requirements, including a physical examination and drug and alcohol screening. </span><li><span style="color: black;">Have a satisfactory work record for the two (2) years immediately prior to the closing date of this posting, including overall employment, job performance, discipline, and safety records (infractions and/or offenses occurring after the closing of the posting and before the filling of a vacancy may preclude a candidate from consideration for selection). </span></ul>None<br><br><br><br><strong>PREFERENCES INCLUDE:</strong><br><div style="margin: 0.0in;"><ul style="margin-bottom: 0.0in;list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0.0in;"><li style="margin: 0.0in;">Experience in Government, Policy Advocacy, Transportation, or a similar organization/industry. </ul></div><br>
