Hustler

We’re seeking a professional and welcoming Hustler (Host type Position) to join our team. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, you’ll set the tone for their dining experience with warmth, efficiency, and poise.

Book Club Bistro is a dining establishment with high standards that we don’t just talk about, we live the high standards every day. Our Mission is to deliver an experience that leaves each guest raving about the flavor, presentation and hospitality.

Teamwork-no one does this job alone. Servers have to have the kitchen in order to serve/sell anything. You need bartenders to make the drinks. Kitchen and bartenders have to have servers to sell what they’re making.

This means delivering clean plates to the guests and requires servers to be picky at the window before plates are taken. Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests with genuine hospitality and professionalism
• Manage reservations and waitlists using OpenTable
• Coordinate table assignments with servers and management to ensure smooth service flow
• Maintain an organized and polished host stand and entryway
• Anticipate guest needs and assist in creating an exceptional experience
• Communicate effectively with team members to support seamless operations
• Uphold fine dining standards of presentation, tone, and discretion

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a fine dining or upscale hospitality environment preferred
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Poised, polished, and confident under pressure
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
