This is not an editor role.

This is a leader of editors role.

You will own the performance, engagement, and output quality of our 40+ global video editors.

You are responsible for building a high-performance editing organization: where output is fast, quality is consistent, and underperformance is handled quickly.

Think of this role as a Head Coach of a Global Editing Team, not a player.

What You’ll Do:

Own Editor Performance

Set and enforce clear output and quality standards

Track editor-level KPIs (speed, revisions, retention performance of content)

Identify underperformance early and act fast

Lead and Manage a Global Team

Directly manage 40+ overseas editors

Maintain engagement, morale, and accountability across time zones

Create a culture of high standards and ownership

Train and Develop Editors

Own onboarding and ramp for all new editors

Build training systems, SOPs, and editing playbooks

Continuously upskill the team based on what’s working in content

Enforce a High-Performance Bar

Coach up or transition out underperformers quickly (~2-3 weeks)

Maintain a team of A-players only

Eliminate bottlenecks and excuses

Improve Systems & Scale

Standardize editing frameworks across clients and niches

Identify inefficiencies in workflows and fix them

Partner with leadership to scale output without sacrificing quality

Operate as an Owner

Treat the editing team as a performance engine

Balance speed, quality, and cost efficiency

Make decisions based on data, not emotion

What We’re Looking For:

You are:

A Proven People Leader

You’ve managed large teams (ideally remote or overseas)

You know how to drive performance—not just maintain relationships

Operationally Strong

You think in KPIs, scorecards, and systems

You’ve built or improved workflows at scale

You are comfortable making fast personnel decisions

You don’t carry underperformers

Deeply Familiar with Short-Form Content

You understand what makes content perform on TikTok, Reels, Shorts

You can translate performance into editing direction

You build repeatable processes, not chaos

You document and standardize what works

Calm, Direct, and Decisive

You can manage a high-volume team without getting reactive

You give clear, direct feedback

Minimum Requirements:

3-5+ years managing editors or creative teams

Experience managing remote or international teams

Strong understanding of short-form content performance

Proven track record improving team output and efficiency

Excellent communication and leadership skills

How We Pay:

Base: $50k/annually

How We Train & Filter:

We do not hand this role out lightly.

You will go through a hands-on evaluation period:

Review and diagnose editor performance scenarios

Provide feedback on real edits

Show how you would improve systems and team output
